Camille Cooper
A troubled young woman, Camille is grappling with the emotional unavailability of her father and a place in the world. Camille must eventually choose herself over her new friends once the truths start to reveal themselves and she realizes the only way to make a better future for herself is to leave them in the past.
Maggie Green
Bold and unafraid, Maggie knows what she wants and seeks to get it. When she meets Camille and decides to bring her into the friend group, Maggie is assured that Camille will be a person for her to lean on and welcomes her with open arms. But Maggie is also grieving her sister’s recent passing and doesn't know how to move on properly. When her actions and intentions appear faulty, she falls apart and eventually is left behind by the ones she holds close.
Pony
A quiet voice of reason, Pony is the caretaker of the friendgroup. He holds Maggie and Violet close and has reservations towards Camille when he believes she may be getting in over her head. Pony always keeps his friend's best interest at heart though, and when Maggie eventually breaks, taking out her anger on Violet, Pony is the one to pull his friend away from the situation and check in with Camille after the fact when she decides to resume group therapy sessions.
Violet
Violet is young, fiery, and always trying to speak her mind. She is very close to Pony, seeing him as an older brother-figure and seeking him for comfort. Unfortunately, Violet ends up taking the brunt of Maggie’s rage and decides to separate herself, along with Pony, from the friend group.
Therapist
The Therapist is the leader of the group therapy sessions that Camille and Maggie attend. She always has her patient’s best interest at heart and is looking for new ways to help them every meeting. Grace
Grace (19) is the younger sister of Maggie. She is fiercely optimistic and kind; she is comfortable living in the moment. She is also nine months pregnant with a baby girl.
