JUDE
[JUDE (MINOR)] Character portrayed as a boy, 7 - 12 years old (to play around 9), White. Jude is Jules’ son from a previous marriage. A curious kid trapped in an adult world, trying to make sense of his surroundings. He’s independent and has high emotional intelligence for a kid his age. He absorbs a lot more than most of the adults realize. He finds a passion in videography in the days leading up to the wedding. Regan
Impulsive, bipolar, chaotic and a compulsive liar. Regan is a go with the flow kind of gal. Currently attending court-ordered therapy sessions, she also works as a tour guide at a museum. Regan meets Aldo in one of the museum galleries and finds him extremely intriguing.
Aldo
Detailed, OCD and anti-social. Aldo likes structure in a world full of chaos. But after meeting Regan at the museum, he can't help but think she's absolutely fascinating, as chaotic as she seems. He is a doctoral student of theoretical mathematics and is currently trying to solve time travel. No, seriously.

June
June is a chatty, kind friend of Maggie’s family. She’s a festive person who enjoys fine food and drink and is the one who tells Maggie about dog-friendly birthday cakes. OPEN ETHNICITY. Please note: a dog will be on set.
Arthur
*This is a non-speaking role. Arthur is just going through the motions. His life is dull, listless and devoid of colour. His character is dishevelled and not very well put together. He has given up hope on finding anything that makes him happy. It's not until he gets teleported to a dark void inside his mind that he experiences a vast array of emotions and passion within himself that he finally sees hope in restoring colour back into his life through practicing art.
Trang
Gender: assigned female at birth / Trans-male / Non-binary accepted. A Vietnamese teenager assigned female at birth, Trang feels discomfort with their body and desires to present themself in a masculine expression amidst the pressures of familial and cultural expectations. Their journey of self-discovery is marked by moments of hesitation and defiance, revealing a deep inner conflict as they seek acceptance from both their traditionally feminine and often-controlling mother. Dialogue is in Vietnamese, cast must be able to speak fluently.
Huong
A Vietnamese devoted mother and wife, Huong passionately strives to embrace her family’s cultural traditions upon moving to Canada, while navigating more changes in her life regarding her child’s growing up and evolving identity. Having made many sacrifices at a young age in a post-war country once with heavy economic instability, she sees her first daughter as a second chance, but her expectations lead to conflicts highlighting complex generational differences. Tan
When offered a stable job in Canada, Tan is a Vietnamese immigrant who recently brought his wife and child to join him on a new life on foreign lands in the promise of a better future. As he navigates the challenges of immigrant life, he finds himself constantly at work to provide financial stability for his family, yet slowly growing more disconnected from them and his cultural roots. Ao Dai Store Clerk
Running an áo dài store, the Vietnamese store clerk meets with a customer who is a mother asking for a masculine áo dài for her teenage child. Dialogue is in Vietnamese, cast must be able to speak fluently.
Ba
Only shown a photo and voice through a phone call. Ba is a Vietnamese grandmother of the family who resides in Vietnam, and calls to her family in Canada to send new year wishes. Dialogue is in Vietnamese, cast must be able to speak fluently.
