Croh is an androgynous adult determined to move past the sexual assault they experienced. Exhausted from the constant pursuit, they slowly release the grip on themselves. However, the experience, represented by The Bug, follows them constantly, like a parasite. Stunt training or experience with physical roles is a plus, not required. All applicants will be considered. Please note that there is a scene where the actor will be in close proximity with another.

Unconventional facial features. The Bug is what remains of the sexual violence on Croh, externalized, and they can’t get rid of it. Deeply unsettling yet familiar, The Bug fights and interacts with Croh in a cheeky and perhaps deceitful way. Must be comfortable with elaborate costume and heavy makeup. Stunt training is a plus, or experience with physicality is a plus; not required. Please note that there is a scene where the actor will be in close proximity with another.

The therapist. Catherine’s approach is a classic therapy one. They rarely challenge and prefer an acute question to provoke reflection. Previous sessions with Croh have been dancing around the subject. In a delicate space, therefore, they are cautious in responding to them.

Male, 30-40 years old, any ethnicity. Daniel is reserved and pragmatic, skeptical about the strange encounter with John and Laura. He doesn't understand why Claire has invited the elderly couple inside and becomes increasingly uncomfortable as they move further into the house. He’d rather continue with the quiet privacy of their day and dislikes having their routine interrupted. At the same time, he finds it difficult to assert himself in the moment, partly because he doesn't want to undermine Claire's generosity.

There is a quiet vulnerability beneath Daniel's guarded exterior. His discomfort with John and Laura gradually exposes a deeper unease in his relationship with Claire: a sense that something between them has become stagnant, and that they have lost some of the intimacy they once shared. As he watches the elderly couple's openness and affection, Daniel is confronted with his own difficulty expressing what he needs. Daniel's performance should gradually move from skepticism, unease, and irritation toward vulnerability and surrender. The conflict and emotion should remain largely beneath the surface; even at his most uncomfortable, Daniel is quiet, restrained, and naturalistic.

Helen is the leading actress for the film 'Bella Terra.' She is an elderly woman who resides within Bella Terra nursing home. She starts off as soft spoken woman and as the film carries on, her true, sour nature begins to bubble to the surface. She is often seen snapping at her friends in the midst of her drug-induced hallucinations. Helen holds the heavy weight of her past, but this also keeps her cautious & ready to spur into action if needed. Please note: Ideally looking for actresses that look 50 & older. Younger actresses will also be considered and wear SFX make up on set if cast.

Lynda is also a resident of the nursing home & is also a friend Helen. She has been drugged for years which has resulted in a complacent state of being. She has an overdramatic, almost child-like reaction to jokes before the punchline is stated. Only a harrowing sadness can snap her out of her joyous catatonia. Please note: Ideally looking for actresses that look 50 & older. Younger actresses will also be considered and wear SFX make up on set if cast.

PSW #2 is a Kind, overly enthusiastic and uncanny individual. Responsible for sedating residents with cocktails of pills while maintaining an unsettling, "perfect" , yet uncanny-like appearance. Their smile seems to be quite forced, almost as if they are in agony behind their flesh. Their skin glistens with a fake, rubbery sheen.

PSW #1 is an observant, quite individual. Often tries to mimic human behavior to the best of their ability. They often forget to blink or stare for too long which results in baggy, dark eyelids. Their skin is rubbery to the touch & their temperature is warm no matter the weather condition.

All ACTRA BG that are chosen will be given a Featured Extra Role

Female, Korean, late 30s. Lead. Works a bakery counter by day and her husband's books at night. Steady, quietly funny, watchful, the person everyone leans on. Wants a child and keeps not asking. The role is mostly behaviour, so she has to hold a scene with a closed mouth. Must speak Korean and English.

Raine is a stubborn and blunt 17-year-old who hides her deep anger and vulnerability behind bold humour and a “mean” exterior. Forced to grow up too soon, she has learned to rely on herself and keep others at a distance, making her an outsider in her hometown. Despite dreaming of escaping to a bigger city and becoming someone entirely different, she feels trapped by her family’s financial struggles and the belief that she will never leave. Raine convinces herself she can survive anything, but when it comes to her best friend, Tristan, the one person she truly cares about, her guarded exterior begins to crack. Trying to forget about a violent crime scene Raine was involved in, her psyche begins to deteriorate, leaving her questioning what is real and what is fabricated in her own mind. Tristan is an empathetic and loving 17-year-old who appears confident and popular in Eastbrooke, but hides the loneliness and emotional weight she carries at home. With a mother who is rarely around and a stepdad whom she barely knows, she finds comfort in her best friend Raine’s chaotic life, where she feels like she truly fits in. Unlike Raine, Tristan struggles to hide what she feels, often wishing she could be as guarded and unreadable as Raine. As she is forced to confront the realities of growing up, Tristan begins to lose the innocence she once held onto, realizing that the world is not as safe or simple as she once believed. But beneath their deep friendship, Tristan is keeping one secret from Raine: the true depth of her feelings for her. Susan is Tristan’s mother, who works long nights at the hospital as a doctor. After losing her husband five years ago, she buried herself in her career to cope with the grief, leaving her emotionally and physically exhausted. Although she comes from a well-off family and still takes pride in looking put together, she often appears worn down and distant. After meeting Dean, her boyfriend of a few months, she began paying less attention to Tristan, but she finally appears happy for the first time in years, so Tristan never complains.

A former great wizard, obstinate without the ability to back it up, basking in his former glory, and struggling to be who he once was. He dismisses any thought of viewing himself as anything else other than a great wizard until he’s faced with a problem he can’t solve alone and he’s forced to take on a different mantle.

A very persistent and jovial attitude. Untrained in magic, but with raw innate magical ability. She is looking to Dorian for a mentor at her craft.
