Friend #1
Friend #1 is a caring, fun and nice friend of Milo's who is worried about his well being.
Woman #1
Woman #1 is fashionably bold but slightly offbeat.
Ashwin
Ashwin is disciplined, ambitious, and stubborn. He moved to Canada with a clear plan: work hard, stay focused, and succeed. But financial instability forced him to delay school and take on grueling factory shifts. Refusing to fall behind, he doubles his workload and shares his single-room rent through “sleep shifts” with a stranger. Now, on the brink of exhaustion, he fights to stick to his plan—no matter the cost. Must know how to ride a bike. Tamil-presenting actors prioritized. Scene where character is smoking (Prop cigarette)
Marko
Marko refuses to live under anyone’s control. Originally from Eastern Ukraine, he came to Canada on vacation in early 2022, only to be stranded after the invasion of his home country. A soured living arrangement left him homeless until he was introduced to Ashwin, who offered a shared room under strict “sleep shifts.” Reluctant at first, Marko took the deal: half the rent for most of the space. But as survival turns into routine, the line between compromise and control begins to blur. Ukrainian-presenting actors prioritized. Scene where character is smoking (Prop cigarette)
Peter
Peter is fit and medium in height. He is a passionate family man who is susceptible to emotions. Losing his father, Paul, was very hard for him as they were very close. In his teen years, they bonded over an old Mercedes that they made their project car. Paul eventually sold this car to pay for Peter's tuition. This was a core memory for Peter, as it made him extremely sad to see the car go, but it also taught him what sacrificial love looks like. Ever since Paul's passing, Peter has been determined to buy the car back in an attempt to fill the void in his heart that his father left.
Abby
Abby is fit and medium/shorter in height. She is kind, logical and morally grounded. Abby is Peter's wife, and she is incredibly supportive of Peter. She wants to see Peter happy, and so she supports his efforts to buy his father's car. However, she also sees that Peter is developing an unhealthy attachment and obsession with the car. When she sees that things are getting out of hand, she is a voice of reason for Peter, encouraging him to make the right choice.
Robert
Robert is larger and medium in height. He is a wealthy man that acquired Paul's car simply because he wanted something vintage to drive in the summer. While he is quite sleazy, he is also a straight-shooter. He empathizes with Peter and his connection with the car, but not enough to take any less money for it.
Paul
Paul should appear older and a little heavy. Despite being worn-out, he's still a bright and loving family man. He is the epitome of sacrificial love to Peter, and is the man that Peter tries to live up to. Paul loved the project car just as much as Peter did, but he loved Peter more. Paul never got the opportunity to go to college so giving Peter that opportunity was very important to him. For this reason, when it came time for Peter to go to college, he didn't hesitate to sell the car.
Peter (Teen)
Peter is 16 years old and medium in height. He has a sweet and infectious smile. He loves his dad more than anything, and working on their car together is his favourite hobby. He has strong aspirations to go to college, but is not sure how he and his family are going to pay for it.
Buyer
Buyer is older and a little heavy. He is a bright and loving family man. The way the buyer treats his son reminds Peter of how Paul treated him.
Buyer's Son
Buyer's Son is around 13 years old and medium in size. He is energetic and eager. His excitement about the car reminds Peter of himself as a child.
