Nima works nights as a security guard . He lives with this girlfriend Maisie who works retail during the days, and their cat Shimmer who spends most of the time hiding from both of them. Their relationship is stagnant because of their incompatible schedules. Nima's off hours routine is little more than napping, vaping, and scrolling on his phone. However he's also hiding a secret from Maisie - in a momentary lapse of judgement he succumbed to the advances of his co-worker's girlfriend.
