Dread to face his sister, dread to finally grieve his dead mother, and dread to find out if his family has totally forgotten about him. He would never voice any of those feelings out loud, though. Mona is an android, and the mother of Lucy. She only wants the best for Lucy, and to keep her safe, but is conflicted as to what is the best thing for Lucy. She wants her family to stay together, but must decide if that is truly the best and safest option.

Lucy is Mona’s human daughter, a fun child full of wonder and smiles. In a world where they must now navigate a law that is trying to separate them, Lucy only wants to be with Mona, no matter the circumstances.

[SOMALIAN MAN - must speak language] Waleed has just recently migrated to America and is still settling into the new environment. He's a foreign romantic and tries to do anything to break through Zahra's tough exterior as he's convinced Zahra is the love of his life.

Mona is the partner and caregiver of Gabe, who lives with dementia. They have been together for their entire lives, and now she is trying to navigate caring for her partner who is in a dementia decline. She works with Gabe's sister to support him.

Gabe has been with his partner Mona for years. They grew up together. Now he is experiencing a dementia decline and is being supported by his partner Mona.
