SIDES:
When it all first happened, I was in shock.

I had this overwhelming feeling of shame.

I thought about pretending nothing happened. But just the thought of seeing him makes me sick to my stomach.

If I spoke up, would people believe me? I’ll be labeled a trouble-maker; this will ruin my career.

There is the sense of helplessness that sucks all the life out of you. Any sense of self confidence you have is shattered. It’s demeaning.

Principal (PP)BYSTANDERMale 50 - 60 Years old
Description
50 to 60 years old, white male. Blue-collared family man with an adult daughter. Has observed sexual harassment in the workplace and feels that it's unacceptable.

SIDES:
I’ve seen guys crack jokes about women’s bodies, even exchange nude photos.

It made me uncomfortable, but I didn't do anything about it.

Then my daughter started working at the mine...and it...really hit close to home.

This is not boys being boys. By not saying anything, I’m...part of the problem.
