SASKATCHEWAN BASED NON UNION TALENT ONLY
Storyline
This currently Untitled project is a landmark documentary series with dramatic re-enactments bringing history's most formidable, complex, and ruthless figures back to life through real human performance combined with AI-assisted digital double technology. Episode 2 follows Vlad III — Vlad the Impaler, Vlad Dracula — from his childhood as a political hostage in the Ottoman court through his violent rule of Wallachia and his bitter wars with Sultan Mehmed II, Vladislav II of the Danesti faction, and the rival prince Basarab the Old. The story moves between the Ottoman court, the Hungarian court of Matthias Corvinus, and the punished landscape of 15th-century Wallachia, where Vlad pursued order through extreme violence and earned the name that history remembers him by.
All roles are non-speaking. AI completes the final historical look (hair, eye colour, aging, costuming, environment). Cast for facial geometry, presence, and bearing.

Roles
| Role type | Role | Gender & Age range |
| Non Speaking | VLAD III / VLAD THE IMPALER | Male 32 - 42 Years old |
Description TIER 1 / HERO SCAN — $750 FLAT.SASKATCHEWAN BASED NON UNION TALENT ONLY Cast at the main age (mid–late 30s) and aged digitally to span 11 – late 40s across the episode. Vlad III is volatile, willful, and violent from childhood, traits that harden into adulthood as a ruler who pursues order through extreme cruelty. Despite his fearsome reputation he inspires real loyalty in his men — articulate, harsh, puritanical, with a sadistic streak and a sharp tongue that can save a man's life as readily as condemn him. Not very tall but stocky and strong, with a "cold and terrible appearance." Strong aquiline nose, swollen nostrils, thin reddish face, very long eyelashes framing large wide-open eyes, bushy black eyebrows that read as threatening. Bull's neck, wide shoulders. Black curly locks. Clean-shaven face and chin but for a long moustache. Hair dark brown, eyes green — AI completes the final historical look. Cast must contrast visually with Mehmed II and read as plausibly the older brother of Radu and the son of Vlad Dracul.
| Role type | Role | Gender & Age range |
| Non Speaking | MEHMED II | Male 28 - 38 Years old |
Description TIER 1 / HERO SCAN — $750 FLAT.SASKATCHEWAN BASED NON UNION TALENT ONLY Sultan of the Ottoman Empire and Vlad's lifelong adversary. Cast at the main age (early 30s) and aged digitally to span 19 – late 30s across the episode. Ambitious, arrogant, and ruthless — ordered his infant half-brother drowned to secure his own throne — but also thoughtful, cultured, and a serious patron of the arts. The man who toppled Constantinople in 1453. Carries the weight of an empire in expansion. High arched brow, pronounced aquiline nose, generally thin face. Hair fair. Eyes most likely brown. Reference Gentile Bellini's commissioned portrait. Cast must contrast visually with Vlad III and read as plausibly the elder figure Radu chooses to serve and admire.
| Role type | Role | Gender & Age range |
| Non Speaking | VLAD DRACUL / VLAD II | Male 45 - 55 Years old |
Description TIER 2 / FEATURED SCAN — $500 FLAT.SASKATCHEWAN BASED NON UNION TALENT ONLY CROSS-REFERENCE WITH VLAD III AND RADU — MUST READ AS PLAUSIBLY THEIR FATHER. AQUILINE NOSE PREFERRED. Vlad III's father. A political opportunist and military leader who switched allegiances as it suited him, and allowed his own sons to be taken hostage by the Ottoman court as part of his hedging strategy. Authoritative and calculating in command; a man always playing both sides. Dark brown hair. Eyes green (inferred from descriptions of his son). Aquiline nose (inferred from his son). Family resemblance to Vlad III is the key casting cue. Killed by Vladislav II of the Danesti — a death that sets the central feud of the episode in motion.
| Role type | Role | Gender & Age range |
| Non Speaking | RADU | Male 28 - 34 Years old |
Description TIER 2 / FEATURED SCAN — $500 FLAT.CROSS-REFERENCE WITH VLAD III — MUST READ AS PLAUSIBLY HIS YOUNGER BROTHER, 3–4 YEARS YOUNGER, AND VISIBLY THE HANDSOMER OF THE TWO. SASKATCHEWAN BASED NON UNION TALENT ONLY Vlad III's younger brother. Taken hostage in the Ottoman court at age 7 (Vlad was 11), Radu was younger and more pliable — receptive to Islam, the customs of the court, and ultimately to Sultan Mehmed II himself, whom he came to serve with deep loyalty. Sweet-reasoned and far more humane than Vlad in his warmongering, but still raised in a warmongering dynasty: shrewd political instincts, a knack for propaganda, and the kind of fight that once nearly killed Mehmed in resistance before he submitted. A man who prefers the path of least resistance. Came to be known historically as "Radu the Handsome." Dark brown hair, green eyes (inferred from descriptions of Vlad III). Cast at the main age of early 30s; appears as a child earlier in the episode (separate youth casting may follow). The brothers' contrast — Vlad's stocky, threatening presence against Radu's gentler beauty — is the key visual.
| Role type | Role | Gender & Age range |
| Non Speaking | VLADISLAV II OF DANESTI | Male 28 - 42 Years old |
Description TIER 2 / FEATURED SCAN — $500 FLAT.ROBUST, BATTLE-HARDENED BUILD PREFERRED. SHOULD READ AS HARDENED, IMPOSING, AND VISIBLY A MAN SHAPED BY CONFLICT. SASKATCHEWAN BASED NON UNION TALENT ONLY Leader of the Danesti faction — the rival branch to Vlad's Dracul line in Wallachia — and the man responsible for the death of Vlad II Dracul, which marks him as a central enemy to Vlad III. Wily, strategic, unyielding in his pursuit of control. Capable of both loyalty and defiance: had a falling out with his former mentor John Hunyadi that ultimately led to his downfall. Eye and hair colour unknown — AI completes the final historical look. Casting focus: the robust, battle-hardened build of a 15th-century ruler and military leader, with presence and gravitas to register as a true antagonist to Vlad.
| Role type | Role | Gender & Age range |
| Non Speaking | MATTHIAS CORVINUS | Male 26 - 36 Years old |
Description TIER 2 / FEATURED SCAN — $500 FLAT.SHOULD READ AS SLIGHTLY YOUNGER THAN VLAD III (CORVINUS WAS BORN ABOUT 10 YEARS AFTER VLAD). WELL-PROPORTIONED, PHYSICALLY STRONG, NOBLE BEARING. SASKATCHEWAN BASED NON UNION TALENT ONLY King of Hungary, reigning during the apex of Hungarian power and a major figure in the Renaissance's spread into central Europe. Decisive and ambitious with sharp judgment — knew when to hold back and when to strike. A voracious reader, measured, intelligent, strategic and authoritative in manner. Court chroniclers note his quick wit. The cultured counterweight to the brutality elsewhere in the episode. Approximately 5'7" (tall for the 15th century, not necessarily by modern standards). Well-proportioned, physically strong, impressive in stature, noble appearance. Shoulder-length, wavy, fair hair. Deep-set, lively, dark eyes. Long, fleshy, blunt nose. Reference the contemporary marble relief (1476) and Andrea Mantegna's portrait.

| Non Speaking | BASARAB THE OLD | Male 45 - 60 Years old |
Description TIER 2 / FEATURED SCAN — $500 FLAT.SHOULD READ AS VISIBLY OLDER THAN VLAD III. SASKATCHEWAN BASED NON UNION TALENT ONLY Vlad's bitter rival; held the Wallachian throne on several occasions and came from a violent dynasty well-acquainted with medieval horror. Tenacious, determined, experienced in military leadership — and yet, despite an assertive character, he struggled to maintain lasting authority. A bold and persistent ruler, but never an effective long-term one. Dark hair, dark eyes. Build unknown — AI completes the final historical look. Casting focus: the weathered presence of a man who has held and lost power more than once. Reference the contemporary painting of Basarab Laiota at Hurezi Monastery.
