Comments
"Small talk is a show based on the theory that any obstacle of communication can be overcome with empathy. Small talk is about how we engage with those who seem different us. It's a series about a family and the community they live in. Some of the members happen to be deaf. Small talk the series cam be a foil for presenting stories- not deaf stories but human stories to entertain, inspire and move audiences of all ages towards a better understanding of each other"
Storyline
"Small Talk- The animated Series" is an upcoming interactive production utilizing animation and motion capture technologies to showcase the stories of 2 deaf kids and their adventures. Small talk is a show based on the theory that any obstacle of communication can be overcome with empathy. We are casting coast to coast to seek out talented young performers who possess high-intermediate to high levels of ASL fluency, to perform motion capture acting.

"On their walk home from school, Maisy (CODA) and Oscar (Deaf) receive a phone call from dad asking what flavor of ice cream they would like from the store, resulting in a classic moment of sibling deception"

We are inviting candidacies from the DEAF community: kids, students, new actors, non-actors, theatre students and\or experienced professional actors who possess high-intermediate to high levels of ASL fluency.
