He shouts at her for not saying the right things at a high stakes meeting with an immigration office. Instead of sticking to the plan that they want to immigrate to Canada due to "religious persecution" , she let slip that they have family there, leading him to angrily rebuke her for foiling their plans to make a convincing case for immigration. A playfully relatable couple's argument ensues in which he accuses her of being just like her mother. The scene offers satirical glimpse at the reality of how people approach immigration strategically.
