In his 50s, widower ANGELO LEDDA aka ANGELO FORLANI is a hit man who leads two totally separate lives with a vault wall between them. He is excellent at his job but also at concealing, compartmentalizing and juggling. In Cooperstown Angelo lives a family life as a photocopier salesman. His grown-up daughter, MARIA, is married to the ineffectual JEFF, and is about to give birth to their first child. Maria’s always had questions about her father's absences but couldn’t begin to guess at the truth. In the Bronx, Angelo has a close but complex relationship with his boss and oldest friend, DUTCH. Dutch sends Angelo on hits, has done for most of his life, he sells it as looking after Angelo but it definitely works both ways. Dutch doesn’t know about Cooperstown, or Angelo has no reason to believe he knows. Angelo’s older brother, MICHAEL, was a peer of DUTCH’s at school. ANGELO was always Michael’s protector, even then, but never more now that Michael advanced Alzheimer’s. But then something catastrophic happens, Angelo himself starts to have fugue spells. He recognizes them from the early signs of his brother’s disease. But he’s got too much to protect to lie down under this. He has to keep doing his hits while preserving his two worlds and protecting his family. Because Angelo is now being stalked by person or persons unknown, and fears that his tracker has breached the wall between his two lives...
