SPECIAL ALLERGY NOTES -
LOCATION: The location owner has a dog so there will be pet dander that may irritate anyone with allergies (even when the dog isn't there). Caution advised for those allergic to dogs.
MAKE-UP: The actor playing ANTONIA will be in a ghost look and a creature look. The ghost look will be make-up based while the creature will likely be a mask. Caution advised for those allergic to latex (or any of the usual costume mask materials) and those who cannot wear a lot of make-up.

Storyline
Tommy is new in town, and one fall evening, he finds himself home alone in a house that seems to whisper his name. That night, two teenage girls - Harlow and Darcy - break into Tommy’s house in search of the truth behind what happened to their friend Antonia (who once lived there).
Armed with the lore of a lonely lady that now haunts the house, the trio begin their hunt but are quickly separated by an entity unlike anything they expected. Now alone, the ghostly creature haunts each of them, forcing the trio to confront their own fears: of being afraid, of not being "special' enough, and of being alone and misunderstood. Soon the teens discover that this lonely ghost is not what it seems, and that the lore of the haunting was as misunderstood as the creature who still remains.
In order to solve the mystery and survive, Tommy, Harlow and Darcy need to mend frayed friendships, step out of their comfort zones, and embrace who they are so they can finally put the lonely monster to rest.

Tommy is small - still an awkward teenage assemblage of skin and bones - with bandages and scrapes that nod to a past of being abandoned and let down by those who should have been there for him. After just moving, Tommy's parents are out for the night, leaving him home alone in a strange new house that seems to whisper - but Tommy doesn't mind being alone, it's easier than trusting those who will just leave you in the end. The thing is though, he isn't alone...and a secret longing for connection draws him into a peril that will force him to reach out and ask for help. Tommy's courage to ask for help gives him the ability to help another in return, finding a familiar soul in the creature and - at last - the ability to trust in friendship again. | ||

Darcy is wonderfully quirky (colourful hair is more than welcome!) and could care less about how put together she looks. Sci-fi and paranormal pins and patches litter her denim jacket and compliment her love of ghost stories, alien sightings and local lore. With a hesitant confidence, Darcy has made peace with being invisible to the world...but not with her inability to help her friend. When Antonia was in need the most, and Harlow seemingly abandoned them, Darcy was too afraid to act - too afraid to help...especially alone. Clinging to a fraying friendship, Darcy goes on a hunt for the truth only to find herself alone in the haunted house - alone in the dark, with the whispering shadows and the past. But this time Darcy isn't giving in to fear and finds the bravery within to be the friend she wants to be. | ||

Dressed highly impractically for a ghost hunt, Harlow is trying to prove to the world - and herself - that she is special, even at the risk of losing her best friends...and herself. It's hard to be a teenager (and an adult for that matter) in world that makes you feel like you need to stand out - be special - in order to matter. The feeling of not "being enough" creates a numbing void, and here we find Harlow. Struggling to be better - smarter, talented, extroverted, popular - Harlow abandoned Antonia and Darcy and is now pained by the guilt of what that cost. Wanting her friends again but afraid of admitting it, she layers her involvement in this ghost hunt with a sarcastic shield. However, when the past threatens to repeat itself, Harlow drops her shield and accepts herself as she is in order to be the friend Darcy and Tommy need. | ||

A sad soul, Antonia has all the traces of one who was left behind: unkept, worn, tired. She remains in the house, trapped in a moment - still in her pjs, blood still under her finger tips. Antonia was a kind soul but a fragile one, and when her friendship with Darcy and Harlow started to crack and fray, when she needed help and it never came, she slipped into the longing embrace of something else...something that lingered in the house much like she did. What we see of Antonia is a memory but even memories can change, and in the end, something as simple as someone listening can set her free. ***This role requires the actor to wear a creature mask for a handful of moments. The look of this role includes bloody FINGER TIPS, which will be applied by our make-up artist. | ||
