ACTRA has approved this project at the ACTRA AIP rate of $225.00 an 8-hour day for a Principal (all five cast are principals) with no BUYOUT for short films. *Production is aiming for 10 hours days, no more than 12.

Her commitment is always to protect her children even when possibly she shouldn't. Although the children know their mother is ill, they are being protected by their mother's secret of the severity of her cancer, a lie that can only be held for so long.
Mother is the home's foundation, and she rules the matriarchy with a firm, yet gentle hand. The Father is a silent anchor in the family structure; all he knows is work, but he is forced to be more vulnerable for his three beautiful children (Theo, Lukas & Eva) while they deal with the loss of their Mother. Father deals with the loss of his wife in private, tortured by her absence and his regrets.
This story is one of great love and loss as a family unit struggles to keep it together for each other amongst deep emotional heartbreak, disbelief, regret and anger; turning to memories to help heal them and become the family they once were amidst a new reality.

Theo takes on most of the burden of caring for his ill mother while his father is at work. Her youth allows her mind to distance itself from viewing her mother's death as an end. Eva is the embodiment of her mother, and in her absence, she becomes the very thing that reminds everyone of her.

Description To play the role of a male who is between 10 and a small 14. Lukas, Theo's younger brother, cannot face his mother's passing and struggles to understand why she had been taken from him so soon. Lukas completely shuts down in his mother's absence and pushes everyone away. Like his brother and sister, he never believed his mother would pass, and like his father, he bottles up all his sadness until all that's left is anger.
