Storyline
Paul Spence (writer, producer, and star of FUBAR) has created a standalone feature inspired by his original character, "Dean Murdoch.” The film opens in present day with a camera crew convincing a reluctant Dean to tell his life’s story. After a few drinks Dean loosens up and starts spinning his tale. Weflash back to 1989 where Dean is a hockey star in a small steel working town in Manitoba. But Dean’s stable middle class life and hockey scholarship is flipped upside down when he received acrate filled with the personal effects from his deceased father. Dean discovers he had a hidden Métis heritage and starts listening to his dad’s heavy metal music, dressing in his clothes, and rebelling against the familiar life he was leading. After running away from home things go off the rails and Dean has to make a choice; Will he forge ahead, or go back to his old life?
