Description
SEEKING: Toronto Blue Jays Mascot “ACE” (FOR THE FIRST TIME EVER WE ARE ACCEPTING SUBMISSIONS FROM ALL GENDERS). As ACE you will act as the primary mascot and participate as an in-game performer at all Toronto Blue Jays home games; including all Jr. Jays Sundays, which involves pre and post game events. In addition, other Promotional days and events within the home game schedule could require extra time commitment. You will also appear as ACE in the community at a variety of appearances on behalf of the Toronto Blue Jays. You will be required to attend pre-season and in-season rehearsals during the contract period to create the character of ACE, and must also be available when needed to shoot promotional video for in-game content, social content, or commercials.

Candidates must be at least 5’10” to fit the costume, with the ability to endure long hours of physical activity. You must be a highly skilled performer with a great ability to improvise, animate and entertain large crowds with fans of all ages. Previous experience as an animator, character, mascot, or interactive entertainer is a plus but not necessary. Strong dance experience is preferred. Experience working with kids is considered an asset. Having knowledge of the game of baseball and following the Toronto Blue Jays are an asset. Must have the ability to work well within a team-environment, communicating with other professionals within the Blue Jays organization.
