Art gallery owner and married woman, Zoe Ellison finds herself involved in a torrid affair with Adam, a renowned photographer. Tensions soon rise after Adam is attacked in his studio by an unknown assailant, causing them to suspect that her controlling DEA husband Chris has discovered their months-long relationship. Overwhelmed with guilt and fear, Zoe decides to reluctantly end the affair, not only to protect her lover but also to give her turbulent marriage another chance. As a way to rekindle their romance, Chris and Zoe plan a night out at a luxury hotel. Prior to the evening's end, Zoe's world is turned upside down when Chris leaves the room to retrieve something he'd forgotten and a masked man forces his way into the room and violently abducts her. When Police arrive on the scene there are no signs of either of them, which makes Chris not only a potential victim but also a suspect. As Detectives try to piece together clues to find Zoe's whereabouts, the terrified Zoe awakes tied to a chair in an abandoned warehouse. It is unclear who her menacing masked captor is or what he wants. Struggling to understand why she is being held, questioned, and threatened by this masked man she can't help but suspect that the masked man may very well be her husband perpetrating some sort of twisted revenge for her infidelity. However, that all changes when Chris, all bloodied and beaten, is thrown into the dilapidated room with her. After a series of mysterious phone calls to the masked man of unknown origins, it has become apparent that there are others involved in this insidious plot who may actually determine the fate of her and her husband. The questions pile up. Who is this masked man? Who is pulling the strings and what do they really want? Will these events bring Chris and Zoe closer together or pull them further apart? Twist after twist ‘Cheat’ will keep you guessing to the very end. The truth may set her free, or it may just kill her.
