Commercial 1
An over-the-top, comedic, Wes Anderson-style love story, tracking the progression of a ‘fourth date’ over 3 x 30 second commercials.
Story: A man named TERRY is having a woman named ELYSSA over to his house for a home-cooked meal. He’s terribly in love with her and he’s nervous about his cooking ability; but she brings over some olive oil, and it greatly improves his cooking. They fall into passionate, Harlequin romance novel-style love.

Role type | Role | Gender & Age range |
Principal (PP) | Terry | Male 27 - 37 Years old |
Description Terry is a bit timid and nervous, but also good-looking and stylish. He’s not a complete dork. He’s a gem but he just doesn’t know it. An ugly duckling type, perhaps. A real CUTIE. He’s adorable and his nervousness is partly what makes him adorable. And he’s deeply in love with Elyssa, to the point of being hypnotized by her. Principal (PP) | Elyssa | Female 27 - 37 Years old |
Description Elyssa is a bombshell. She’s a mediterranean/Italian Goddess. Well she’s a Goddess *in Terry’s eyes*. We see her through his eyes, and she’s the most gorgeous woman he’s ever seen; but as the audience we can tell she's a realistic, real woman, not an over-the-top fantasy. She should be slightly mischievous. And she will need to pull off the breathy, ‘ravage me’ style of acting that we’re going for in certain moments.
