Storyline
After losing his wife to an illness he believes was made worse by bureaucratic failures in the healthcare and insurance systems, Robert Beale retreats from society to a remote cabin in the Northern Ontario wilderness. His only companion is Finn, his aging golden retriever, and he spends his days trying to survive in isolation while carrying the weight of his grief.
Everything changes when Robert witnesses a small plane crash deep in the forest. Before dying, the pilot leaves behind evidence suggesting that a powerful technology corporation has been conducting covert chemical spraying operations over nearby government land. As wildlife mysteriously dies and authorities refuse to investigate, Robert begins uncovering a web of environmental cover-ups, corporate influence, and institutional corruption. When Finn also dies, Robert loses the last emotional anchor tying him to the life he once knew.
Driven by grief and convinced that traditional institutions no longer protect ordinary people, Robert follows the evidence to Julian Strake, a charismatic billionaire whose company appears to sit at the center of a vast network of political influence, environmental secrecy, and corporate power. Their confrontation turns violent, and Robert realizes that the world's most powerful people are not untouchable—they can be frightened.
What begins as one man's search for justice gradually transforms into something far darker. Using stolen resources, assumed identities, and an increasingly uncompromising moral philosophy, Robert launches a campaign against ultra-wealthy figures he believes profit from human suffering. His attacks spread across multiple countries, sending financial markets into turmoil, forcing governments into crisis mode, and igniting an international manhunt. Around the world, Robert becomes viewed alternately as a terrorist, vigilante, revolutionary, or symptom of a deeply broken society.
As his actions escalate, Robert is forced to confront an increasingly uncomfortable question: Is he exposing a sickness at the heart of modern society—or has grief transformed him into the very thing he set out to fight?
