Storyline

Logline: A meticulous tailor racing to complete a high-stakes commission while battling a
mysterious illness is visited by a feral double who forces her to reckon with her body, her art,
and the price of performing wellness.

Description Anya has worked for a tyrannical boss for many years. She has learned to completely repress her pain. She is charismatic and friendly but demands compliance from Maggie. Deep down she is very scared of her boss. must be comfortable with a SFX makeup scar across their face

Description A former “junk” artist, she has turned away from her past self to try to fit in. She wants to be perfect, and normal. When she is given an important commission to make suits for a VIP, she stays up all night working, and a dormant illness resurfaces. Maggie knows something is “wrong” with her, and actively fights against it and denies it. She is breaking on the inside, and denying it at every step until she cannot deny it any longer and comes face to face with her illness personified. Very grounded and subtle acting style. Really focused on inner struggle, until finally breaking down at the end. A

Description Dollparts is an Autoimmune illness personified. She doesn’t speak, but moves in a specific way and performs self-harm without experiencing the pain (mirroring Autoimmunity). Looking for an actor with dance or movement background (or not), ideally who is Queer, and interested in creating this character’s physicality. Interesting features, could be muscular body type. Reference: Alexia from Julie Ducournau’s Titane. must be comfortable with some SFX makeup to create wounds around the eyes Very Physical part. Actors with great movement skills.
