Description
Female, 40s - 50s, Latina. Proud, sharp, and fiercely independent, Maria struggles with declining health, severe osteoarthritis, and limited mobility with chronic pain. The only help she accepts is her cane and medication; she refuses all other assistance, guarding her dignity while often masking warmth with stubbornness. Emotionally guarded after a recent loss, she isolates herself rather than show vulnerability. Beneath her tough exterior, she is a loving mother shaped by sacrifice and her upbringing in her culture. She fears becoming a burden and feeling helpless. *Spanish-speaking required (neutral Latin American accent)*
