The CBC Actors Conservatory is recognized thoughout the industry as a vital hub for spotting and supporting exciting and original on-screen talent. This full-time creative and professional experience, which is programmed by the Canadian Film Centre, has launched close to 100 actors since it began and allows actors to expand their skills while empowering them to navigate career and marketplace opportunities. Each "CLOSE UP" showcases actors in a dramatic, character-driven scene. All CLOSE UPs are professionally produced and edited for a Canadian Film Centre Industry Showcase in the spring.

Brynn Godenir (she/her) is a multi-disciplinary artist, originally from Winnipeg and now based in Toronto. She is an alumna of both the National Theatre School of Canada and the CFC/CBC Actors Conservatory, where she has honed her grounded and physical approach to storytelling.

Brynn’s notable screen credits include: Shudder’s HELL MOTEL; CBC/CW’s BURDEN OF TRUTH and CORONER; CityTV’s LAW & ORDER: TORONTO-CRIMINAL INTENT; Fox’s DOC; NBC’s Brilliant Minds; HBO Max’s TITANS; along with films including SCARED SH*TLESS, RICH KID, ERASE & REWIND, EMERALD INN and a long list of TV thrillers and feel good holiday features

Cadence, a driven yet demoralized elite runner, learns the dangerous lengths she’ll go for success. She is the subject of an experiment conducted by a corrupt scientist, Dr. Bannister, that harvests the adrenaline from her nightmares to enhance her performance, ultimately mutilating her ambition and transforming her into a desperate attacker.
