Storyline
Two disillusioned fast food employees, Pat and Russel, find respite from the nagging pain of customer service by imagining the ways they could end it all on the job. With a promotion on the horizon (AKA a potential eternity of oil burns and hairnets), the two must decide if they’re going to make a change, or lose themselves for the $8.99 burger. A dark comedy.
Roles
Role typeRoleGender & Age range
LeadPATAll 18 - 26 Years old
Description
Non-Binary, 20s. Open Ethnicity. Kind but exasperated, Pat has accidentally made themselves a fixture at a job they don’t care for. Tormented by visions of their own death and a lackluster promotion, they’re desperately looking for an out. Affable and hardworking, but at their current age of 24, do they really want to be working in a burger joint forever? Character is non-binary, talent of any/all gender identity invited to apply.
Role typeRoleGender & Age range
LeadRUSSELMale 26 - 36 Years old
Description
Male Presenting, Late 20s to 30s. Open Ethnicity. Apathetic and lazy, entirely past his prime, Russel does just enough to not get fired. He’s not particularly liked by his coworkers, but his dryness and apathy is comforting to Pat. He is aware of the misery he’s inflicting on himself, but has no drive to change it. He might not be working at this fast food joint forever, but he has given up on any greater ambitions. MUST be comfortable with facial prosthetics.

SupportingASHLEYFemale 24 - 45 Years old
Description
Female presenting, late 20s to early 40s, open ethnicity. After decades of fast food work, Ashley is more HR than person. Kind and energetic, her spotless personality is not reflected in the dingy kitchen she manages.
