Right before Thanksgiving, Bella is kidnapped and brutally murdered by Jack, a vengeful criminal once arrested by her father. Her body is savagely dismembered and scattered across the city. On the seventh day after her death which happens to be Thanksgiving, Bella’s spirit returns home, only to discover that her biological parents, Paul and Evelyn, shower their adopted daughter Anna with love and affection while ignoring her disappearance.

When Bella’s remains are discovered, Evelyn (a forensic expert) and Paul (the Chief of LAPD) personally lead the investigation, yet neither recognizes that the remains belong to their own flesh and blood. Instead, they are more concerned about Anna’s safety. Even when being informed that Bella has gone missing, they remain indifferent.

Filled with grief and despair, Bella’s spirit silently witnesses all of this. With the horrifying truth gradually revealed, Paul and Evelyn are devastated to find that the disfigured corpse is none other than their beloved daughter, Bella. Regretful and guilty, they vow to seek justice for her — but by then, it is far too late...
