Storyline
THE WORDS (WT) is a passionate, character-driven romance about redemption, second chances, and the blurred line between love and self-destruction. Lennon Michael, once a shy girl tormented in high school, crosses paths years later with Phoenix Walker — the bad-boy rock star who broke her heart and built his empire on her song. When fate forces them back together, every glance and argument crackles with unfinished desire. Torn between anger and longing, they must confront addiction, fame, and the truth about what really happened between them. Raw emotion, intense chemistry, and high-stakes transformation make this a dream project for actors ready to dive deep into complex, layered performances.
Roles
Role type | Role | Gender & Age range |
Lead | Phoenix Walker | Male 18 - 25 Years old |
Description Male Lead, Age 18–25, WHITETattooed rock star; confident, damaged, intense; redemption arc. A gifted but tortured rock star. Phoenix is charismatic, rebellious, and impulsive — an archetypal bad boy with real trauma underneath. The son of an abusive father, he carries deep emotional scars and addiction issues. Over the course of the story, he transforms from a reckless, ego-driven musician into a remorseful man seeking redemption. The role demands depth: swagger, vulnerability, and musical authenticity. Actor must be comfortable portraying addiction, anger, guilt, and raw intimacy. Guitar skills or credible performance ability preferred. Requires multiple scenes with physical intensity and stunts (fights, emotional breakdowns, panic attacks)
Role type | Role | Gender & Age range |
Supporting | Sabrina Simmons | Female 18 - 21 Years old |
Description Main Supporting / Antagonist - Age: 18-21 - WHITEMean girl antagonist; manipulative and vain; later humiliated. Sabrina is the story’s primary antagonist — a manipulative, beautiful, and socially dominant “mean girl” who bullies Lennon in high school and resurfaces later as a self-serving adult. She represents cruelty, vanity, and insecurity hiding beneath glamour. The role calls for strong presence and emotional range: comic timing for social cruelty, physicality in confrontation scenes, and nuance to keep her believable rather than cartoonish. One major humiliation sequence (food fight, public meltdown) requires controlled stunt-like blocking.
Role type | Role | Gender & Age range |
Supporting | Storm | Male 18 - 25 Years old |
Description Main Supporting - Age: 18-25 - Open EthnicityDrummer; outspoken loyal friend; comic and emotional support. Phoenix’s drummer and oldest friend, Storm balances humor with heart. Outspoken, loyal, and occasionally reckless, he’s both comic relief and emotional anchor for the band. In later episodes, Storm challenges Phoenix’s choices, delivering some of the most grounded moral moments. Needs good comedic rhythm and authenticity as a musician. No intimacy scenes; minor physical action (punch, scuffle). |
