Storyline
At 110 years old, Mr. Burdett “Burd” Sisler is the oldest man in Canada and one of the last living WWII veterans. Told through four generations of family, personal testimony, archival photos and cinematic reenactments, BURD captures a life and a legacy shaped by love and grief, preserving a fading century of Canadian history.
The film incorporates personal artifacts Burd preserved throughout his life: news clippings, military handbooks, and photo albums dating back as far as 1867. Cinematic recreations of character-defining moments from Burd’s life bring an added dynamic of emotional and visual depth to the film. We are casting for featured extras for these cinematic recreations.
