Storyline
Mexico '86 is a comedy based on the very real — and totally absurd — last-minute attempt by Mexico to host the 1986 World Cup. When his life falls apart, Salvador de la Torre, a bureaucrat in crisis, decides to risk it all to become the savior of Mexican football… even if it means dealing with corrupt politicians, greedy TV executives, and FIFA itself. Inspired by events so outrageous they feel made up, Mexico '86 is a story about ambition, shady deals, and how, sometimes, doing things the Mexican way actually works.
Roles

Small Principal | JACKIE ROSS | Female 40 - 45 Years old |
Description Jackie Ross 40-45Blonde, blue eyes, native English speaker. American businesswoman, connected with FIFA in 1986. "American woman. Elegant, commanding, with undeniable presence and a sharp character — but without a doubt, she’s tough. She’s had to carve out a place for herself in a world that (at the time) belonged solely to men: professional soccer. She’s the daughter of one of the most powerful and well-connected billionaires in the United States. Her father is determined to bring soccer to the U.S., no matter the cost. She will be a serious contender for Salvador, though he doesn’t see it coming. Jackie knows as much — if not more — about soccer than he does." |
