Director Biography:
Sijing is an independent filmmaker born and raised in Shanghai, China. She studied film in both Taiwan and the United States, which gives her a diverse and cross-cultural perspective. With a strong background in literature, theatre, and photography, Sijing has developed a distinctive cinematic voice. Her work explores the essence of humanity, transcending race, gender, and nationality.

Storyline
As children in an orphanage, Laura and Tim share an unbreakable bond, she’s born with a weak heart, he’s blind in one eye. Separated young, they grow up believing they’ve lost each other forever. Years later, Laura (now Nico) is a struggling woman working under Ethan, a cold, guarded CEO, unaware he’s Tim, now adopted and emotionally shut down. Neither recognizes the other. As their paths cross through a contract relationship, buried memories, a mysterious third man, and long-held promises resurface, forcing them to confront their past and identities.

Nico evolves from victim to empowered woman, torn between two men—one from her past and one offering her a future. A stunt coordinator will be present for a scene in which Alice pushes Nico down a flight of stairs (Episode 35). A stunt double for Nico may also be brought in, if needed. Please note that the script contains scenes involving non-consensual sexual behavior, including: Ethan forcing himself onto Nico (Episode 1), and Nico—while under the influence of drugs—waking up in bed with Ethan (Episodes 27–28).
