Storyline
SYNOPSIS: After the tragic loss of his forbidden lover, Amir, a grieving immigrant in Toronto constructs an elaborate fantasy as a stranded astronaut on the Moon, awaiting his lover's return. When they reunite, they discover an unusual lunar tree that sustains them without food or spacesuits when they eat its petals. They relive their earth romance but Amir is haunted by a mysterious alien and the illusion begins to shatter. On Earth, Amir finally begins to cope with reality. Though he struggles to reconcile with his conservative mother, he finally sees the scars of love and loss in her too.

This is a Gay Romance set on the Moon. We are seeking a romance cover leading-man. Description (Playing Age: Late 40s to early 60s)Character Description: Salwa is Amir's mother - proud, fiercely intelligent, and hardened by years of personal and political turmoil. She loves her son but cannot reconcile it with her internalized societal pressures. Her affection is laced with judgment, and her vulnerability often masked by anger and control. Salwa is not a villain, but a complex product of her environment. Actor must have a strong emotional range and an ability to portray subtle shifts between love, fear, and rage. Languages: Arabic (native fluency required), conversational English an asset. Notes: Actor must be comfortable portraying intense, emotionally charged scenes, including topics of family conflict, queerness, and immigration.
