Storyline
In a retro-futuristic society that punishes connection as deviance, We’re Not People follows Kasey, a young woman labeled a criminal for harbouring an alien entity. After the state-sanctioned execution of her family, Kasey endures routine parole check-ins and psychological probing from The Manager, a polished man who masks disapproval behind a smile.
Isolated and emotionally numb, she clings to the memory of what she lost. The alien, a luminous being once harboured in her home, offered her presence, understanding, connection. Now, with nothing left tethering her, she seeks reunion.
