Idle is a short film that explores the quiet, internal journey of a teenage boy learning to see his mother—and himself—differently. Set entirely within the confines of a car, the story follows 16-year-old Dan on the way to his soccer game, a routine usually handled by his father. But when his mother, who struggles with mental illness, insists on renewing her prescription en route, what begins as an inconvenience slowly unravels Dan’s buried shame and frustration.
