We are accepting non-union actors through our student agreement with ACTRA. This
is a non-paying student film and no permit is required. Actors will receive a copy of the
finished product for their demo reel.

If your monologue and performance stand out, your video may be selected to be part of a final edit featuring all the chosen monologues. By submitting to this casting call, you are granting me permission to include your video in my project.

That being said, if your acting is strong but the video quality is not ideal, I may ask you to resubmit a higher-quality version or, if you’re local, you may have the option to come in for an in-person reshoot using professional equipment.

This is a global casting call, but in-person reshoots/auditions are only available for those based in Montreal, Quebec.

I’m looking for plus-size women to submit a 1-2 minute monologue from their favorite film or TV show (preferably film). The monologue should not be from a character who is plus-size—this project is about showcasing that plus-size actors can be leads in any story, not just relegated to the secondary "funny fat friend" roles.

My thesis explores how size doesn’t have to dictate who gets to be the main character. With that in mind, choose a monologue that isn’t centered on weight—in fact, I encourage you to pick one where size isn’t even a factor. Let’s show that great performances transcend body type.
Upon receiving your headshots, I will reach out to request self-tapes. Based on those self-tapes, selected actors may be invited to film an additional monologue of my choosing. This second monologue will be incorporated into a separate edit.
