We are accepting non-union submissions. This is a non-paying student film and no permit is required. Actors will receive a copy of the finished film for their demo reel. Meals and beverages will be provided on the shoot days.

At a cast party celebrating the end of his theatre group’s performance of “Romeo and Juliet”, Nick wants to make a move on his fellow cast-mate and long time crush, Tiana. To help ease his nerves, a friend of Nick’s, Paul, offers him a joint. After smoking it, Nick quickly becomes the life of the party but then soon realizes that there is an unexpected side effect to the drug. Everyone starts speaking in Shakespearian prose! Nick now has to navigate this new experience while also trying to keep a level head and impress Tiana. To him, Tiana looks like an ethereal, fairy queen who is madly in love with Nick. But in reality Nick is a mumbling mess who completely makes a fool of himself in front of Tiana and her friends. At the end of the night, Nick is consoled by Paul and met by Tiana. The two share a heartfelt moment together as Tiana expresses her feelings to Nick and tells him that she understands how mess ups happen to everyone, and that she was happy to see him come out of his shell a little more. They end up sharing the rest of the night together as the party goes on. Adapted from the Shakespeare play “A Midsummer Night’s Dream”.
