A proof of concept for a feature-length romantic comedy. The film centers on Bellamy Holland, a woman in the midst of adopting a young girl when everything takes a turn for the worse. Faced with the potential loss of custody, Bellamy reluctantly teams up with Tristan Delaurentis, the girl's estranged uncle. The scene takes place following the funeral of Tristan’s sister. Seeking a brief moment of solitude, he steps outside to clear his head. As he gazes at the sky, he is interrupted by the voice of his niece, Amira. In a tender yet brief exchange, they both look up at the sky, offering quiet words of condolence. But the moment is quickly disrupted when Bellamy bursts out of the church, searching for Amira. Tensions rise as Bellamy and Tristan's first encounter becomes immediately charged, and they clash over what’s best for the child’s future.
