Stephanie Fabrizi is a Canadian screenwriter living in Toronto. Their first feature film, Below Her Mouth, premiered at TIFF 2016, received international distribution and sold to Netflix worldwide; helping the film achieve international cult status with the queer community. Stephanie’s most recent feature film screenplay, Light As Bones, was the official finalist for the 2022 TIFF-CBC Screenwriting award.

The CFC’s “In Character” Productions are original, cinematic character driven 2-hander scenes, written by the writers and directed by the directors in the Norman Jewison Film Program. These are intended to deepen our filmmakers appreciation of cinematic character creation and working with actors within a very contained on-set experience. Actors involved in these productions will have the opportunity to work with 2 different directors as they direct them in the same scene and these produced scenes will be made available later in September for the actor’s reels.

Elizabeth is preparing to host her overly critical Mother, Kitty, for dinner. Elizabeth is expecting to be criticized but is pleasantly surprised when her Mother is willing to sees her imaginary friend, “Ghost.” A sign for Elizabeth that their relationship is moving in a new direction.
