Storyline
Set in an all-girls catholic school, Jenna and Maggie fall in love on homecoming night, when Jenna’s best friend, Juliet, catches them, swearing she won’t tell a soul, but betrays them to be friends with Rowan, the most popular girl at school, exposing them publicly. This causes Jenna to lose her grip on reality and processes this backstabbing through religious symbolism, and artistic dream-like sequences. By the end, Jenna and Maggie realize that their love is God’s mercy, and loving of them, as they find comfort in each other, despite what the world may think.
