Young vampire, Carmen develops a new kind of hunger when she sees The Heartbreaker’s lead singer, Ellie sing. Eventually, she gains the courage to write an anonymous love letter. After receiving the first letter, Ellie is fascinated with having a secret admirer, fawning over them to her roommate Dakota and bandmate, Gwen. Carmen begins delivering more letters while stalking Ellie to learn more about her routine and interests. Valentine's Day rolls around, giving Carmen the perfect opportunity to win Ellie’s heart. The same day, Dakota, concerned for her wellbeing tries to convince Ellie that she has a dangerous stalker. But Ellie, too transfixed with the unconditional love promised by her admirer, doesn’t care to listen to Dakota’s pleas. Suddenly, Carmen appears at the door prepared to finally confess her feelings but is met with an infuriated Dakota, threatening Carmen to back off. In a lovesick rage, Carmen follows Dakota down a back alley, killing them. Carmen makes a last attempt to speak to Ellie. Peering at the bloody sight through her peephole, Ellie feels hesitant for the first time, but her desire to be loved goes against her better judgment as she welcomes Carmen inside. Carmen presents a way in which she can love her forever. Ellie agrees – Carmen sinks her fangs into Ellie’s neck, turning her into a vampire.
