We can are looking to accept non-union actors. This is a non-paying student film and no permit is required. Actors will receive a copy of the finished film for their demo reel. Meals will be provided on-set.

Jane, an insecure preteen, is getting ready with her two best friends, Liz and Beth, for their school dance. Jane shyly reveals she hasn’t yet been asked before a knock at the front door interrupts her. The girls approach to see on the other side… A MONSTER! But not just any monster- this is Gloria, the coolest, most beautiful girl in the school. They giddily pull her inside and get ready with their new friend. Throughout the night, the girls encourage Jane to step out of her comfort zone by calling up her crush and giving her a transformative makeover. But these attempts only draw Jane deeper into her spiral of insecurity. It’s not until Gloria reveals that she too has faced rejection that Jane’s perspective shifts. Inspired by Gloria's vulnerability, Jane wipes away her makeover to embrace herself and asks the girls to be her date for the dance.
