Storyline
STORYLINE: Set in 1994 Kentucky, Ordinary Angels tells the incredible true story of Sharon Stevens - an alcoholic hairdresser whose life is forever changed when she meets Ed, a widowed father with a 5-year-old daughter in need of a liver transplant. Troubled by an estranged relationship with her own son, Sharon immediately takes it upon herself to help this family. With her brash manner and witty exuberance, Sharon bulldozes her way into their lives and hearts, raising money, battling debtors, and helping to prepare for the one surgery that can save little Michelle’s life. But the day a liver finally becomes available, the city is hit with the worst snowstorm in Kentucky history. With only hours to get to the hospital, Sharon must rally the entire community to help carve a path through the harrowing blizzard— saving Michelle, and in the process, helping Sharon to find healing with her son.
