Jordan’s boyfriend who exudes a casual, egotistical attitude paired with a penchant for relaxed fashion. While devoted to his relationship with Jordan, he remains unaware of the depth of Jordan's internal struggles. Beneath his confident facade, Cody harbors insecurities and a fear of vulnerability, often using sarcasm and blunt honesty as a defense mechanism. His commitment to Jordan is genuine, yet his inability to connect on an emotional level leaves him blindsided when confronted with the complexities of Jordan's past. Jimmy (30-45): Male. Asian. Jimmy is the proprietor of Good Eats. A recent immigrant, he’s trying to sponsor his family to Canada. With hopes of living the Canadian dream, he has found himself in a nightmare taking care of drunks, drug addicts, criminals, and the community’s most vulnerable. Financially drained, he is unable to balance the daily finances of the bar while saving money for his family. We are looking, ideally, for someone whose first language is not English. There will be scenes where Jimmy speaks in his first language to his wife on the phone. We don't care what language it is, but please identify what you first language is in your slate. We will be casting the wife and child of Jimmy based on the person chosen for the role, and they will have to be able to speak that language.

George (60-80): Male. Any Ethnicity. A full-blown alcoholic. Extremely lonely, he just wants someone to listen to him. To be respected. A loudmouth, he spends his days at the neighbourhood bars drinking and talking the ear off of anybody who will listen. Intelligent, he relies on the little knowledge he has obtained to impress those around him. But his constant blabbering and total disregard for fellow patron’s privacy has made him an outcast amongst the regulars.

Bernice (25-35): Female. Any ethnicity. Naïve and a bit gullible. Without a strong positive male figure in her life, she constantly finds herself dating the wrong men and for the wrong reasons. She wants to be pampered and taken care of. Elvii, an aspiring actor, is her current sugar daddy. Sharing a small bachelor apartment, he continually promises her that things are going to get better. That he’ll make it big and they’ll be moving to Hollywood. She desperately holds onto that idea.

Tesus (20 – 30): African American. Male. A hip-hop music producer and chronic stoner. A dreamer, he is easy going and care free. Best friends with Skim Milk (hip-hop artist), Tesus is adamant about producing a hit single that will get them out of his makeshift apartment recording studio and catapult them both into stardom.

Barb (60 – 80): Any ethnicity. Female. Single grandmother of Troy, a young man with special needs. Selfless and compassionate Barb is also gambling addict. If she’s not buying scratch tickets, she’s at Bingo. Her gambling addiction has put a financial strain on her and Troy. They share a one-bedroom apartment, taking turns sleeping on the couch.

Skim Milk (20-30): Any Ethnicity and Gender. Skim Milk is a chronic stoner and aspiring hip-hop artist. Extremely hardworking, they live and breathe music. A dreamer, they have dreams of becoming the next big thing. Best friends with Tesus, they acts as Tesus’ moral compass. Between getting high and joking around, they have each other’s back. Loyal and trustworthy, Skim Milk tells it as it is. Ideally looking for someone who can actually free-style.

Foggy (40-65): Any ethnicity and gender. A heroin addict with a bad habit. They spend the majority of their day trying to figure out how to score. Constantly borrowing money from other patrons at Jimmy’s, Foggy has become somewhat of a pest. Roommates with George, Foggy tries to spend as little time at home as possible. He is connected to many shady characters.

Shane (35 – 50): Caucasian. Male. Entitled and lazy, he has a hard time keeping a job. He enjoys being a big fish in a small pond. A classic bully, Jimmy’s Good Eats is his clubhouse where he makes and enforces the rules. A father of two young kids, he’s struggles to take care of his family.

Brooks (55-75): Male. Any ethnicity. A recovering addict, he is someone who has lived hard. He has a constant chip on his shoulder. Brooks and his wife Deb are regulars at Jimmy’s. In an unhappy marriage, he spends most of his time ignoring or arguing with Deb. In financial dire straits, Brooks is forced to share a pair of dentures with Deb. A talent with dentures would be ideal.

Deb (55-75): Female. Any ethnicity. A recovering addict, she is someone who has lived hard. Compassionate, she has a motherly quality to her. Deb and her husband Brooks are regulars at Jimmy’s. In an unhappy marriage, she spends most of her time ignoring or arguing with Brooks. In financial dire straits, Deb is forced to share a pair of dentures with Brooks. If the actor has dentures, that would be ideal.

Cop #1 (35-50): Any ethnicity and gender. They have seen it all. Nothing shocks them anymore. A good cop with a dark sense of humor. Loves interrogating and having fun with it.
