Doug Spade (Game Show Host) Age: Late 40’s – Mid 50’s - Gender: Male Demeanor: Doug has a bit of salt/pepper hair, and very expressionistic face. Doug is an incredibly witty, charismatic, and eccentric 70’s era game show host. A bit boisterous, overconfident, and very knowledgeable. Think Bill Hader (from SNL) crossed with Eugene Levy (SCTV) or Keegan-Michael Key. Being a gameshow host, Doug dresses in quirky green suit (wardrobe provided). Daisy (Contestant): Age: Mid 30’s - Gender: Female Demeanor: Daisy has a warm approachable personality. She is happy and confident in herself and doesn’t shy away from a challenge. She is quick-witted and put together. sHe’s a DIYer, self sufficient. Think Tina Fey on weekend update or Maya Rudolph (SNL). Daisy likes to dress more casual but with some sophistication. Open to all ethnicities, diversity encouraged.

Bud (Contestant): Age: Early 40’s - Gender: Male Demeanor: Bud is a fun-loving fellow, with a large personality. He is a bit rough around the edges, he is unapologetically sure of himself – but is usually wrong. Think Kevin James (King of queens) or Kenan Thompson. Bud likes to dress very casual – almost like a handyman. Open to all ethnicities, diversity encouraged.

Ash (Contestant): Age: Mid 30’s - Gender: Male Demeanor: Ash is a little nerdy, doesn’t take himself too seriously, a bit sarcastic. He is a bit of an outsider, and likes a good joke. Think Howard Walowitz (Big Bang Theory) or Bowen Yang (SNL). Ash likes to dress nerdy, think Steve Jobs and turtle necks, pocket protectors. Open to all ethnicities, diversity encouraged.

LEAD - LYNN: Female 30s. Lynn arrives in her wheelchair at a fancy restaurant. Unbeknownst to the staff she is also an influential food critic. Wardrobe - Smart Casual with sneakers. Later changes into dressy shoes.

LEAD - GERRY: Male 30s. A rude and arrogant waiter who is determined to kick Lynn out of the restaurant. He is bigoted against Lynn because of her disability and refuses to serve her. Wardrobe - dress as a waiter in a high end establishment.

LEAD - MOLLY: Female 40s. Molly is the ambitious manager of the fancy restaurant, and like Gerry is determined to keep Lynn out and refuse her service. Wardrobe - professional - upscale hostess.

SUPPORTING - KIRSTY: Female 40s. KIRSTY is very refined and wealthy and appreciates fine dining. Molly believes she is an influential food critic but she is actually just a customer with deep pockets. Wardrobe - dressed like a rich older woman.

LEAD - CASSIDY: Female - 25-35. Cassidy is a modest kitchen worker, down on her luck, but when met with adversity, she makes herself over and transforms into a beautiful and seductive dancer. LEAD - MITCH: Male - 25-35. Handsome and stylish millionaire. He has humble beginnings but managed to build a great fortune. He desires a high value woman. He believes that woman is wealthy heiress Diane until Cassidy turns his world upside down. WARDROBE: High end, stylish suit.

LEAD - DIANE: Female - 25-35. A wealthy, snobbish heiress. She is attracted to Mitch but knows it can’t really last because although rich, Mitch was born in the lower classes and is not part of her pureblood world. WARDROBE: Cocktail dress.

*Must speak Macedonian* (male, playable age 35-45, North Macedonian/Balkan) Robert is a recent Macedonian immigrant and Dara’s father. He’s kind and caring when sober but when drunk–which he often is– he’s irritable and unpredictable. Robert is struggling to cope with the loss of his partner.

Wife of Jimmy, she‘s stuck back home waiting for Jimmy to sponsor her and their daughter Jenny to Canada. She is the sole caretaker of Jenny and her elderly mother. With little money coming in, she is constantly stressed about their financial situation. Applying pressure on Jimmy to send more money back or bring them to Canada. Jimmy is the proprietor of Good Eats. A recent immigrant, he’s trying to sponsor his family to Canada. With hopes of living the Canadian dream, he has found himself in a nightmare taking care of drunks, drug addicts, criminals, and the community’s most vulnerable. Financially drained, he is unable to balance the daily finances of the diner while saving money for his family. Sandy speaks the entire scene in Mandarin. It is written in English in the sides, but please do your best to translate the scene.

Jenny is the young daughter of Sandy and Jimmy. She misses her dad and likes talking to him on the computer, but like most kids, has a short attention span. The scene will be entirely in Mandarin. It's currently written in English, but please have them say the few lines in Mandarin.
