Robert
This production of The Play That Goes Wrong is a remount of the Citadel / TC / MTC version. We are currently replacing one role for the Grand Theatre run. The authors describe the role as: Wants to be Richard Burton, as evidenced by his declamatory style. He is, however, not a parody of a bad actor. He is unaware of others around him. He does not feel badly when things go wrong and never learns from his mistakes. There is a power struggle between Robert and Chris to be president of the Cornley Poly Drama Society (a position that matters a great deal to Robert). Has real vocal power. RP ACCENT. And we would add: Robert is a positive force in the company always determined he can fix any problem - his enthusiasm is infectious. Please note: - The person cast in this role will be the ONLY new cast member joining an existing production - This is a highly physical role including an extensive sword fight sequence

MARK
Male, 45-55, any ethnicity. Mark is a strongheaded, decorated ex-military General. In his retirement he transitioned to space exploration because he missed the lack of control and being in charge.
