Director Adam Yorke’s latest film See for Me, which he co-wrote and co-produced, premiered at Tribeca in 2021 and sold internationally as one of the highest selling Canadian films of the year. Released by IFC Film in January 2022 to both critical and commercial success, becoming the number one independent film on VOD in its first week and hailed by Variety as “A Cult Classic in the Making.” Adam’s feature Boxman is on the 2023 Blacklist and sold to Lionsgate with Range media partners and 42 producing and Rupert Wyatt directing.

Storyline

Set in 2004 and inspired by true events. Before there were hackers, there were phreakers. A blind teenager joins the early 2000s underworld of “phone freaks” where he learns to hack his way to money, power, and eventually, a place on the FBI’s most wanted list.

Eva is suspicious of the new appliances, gift cards and tech gear that arrives in their home but can’t bring herself to investigate further music less put a stop to it, because Jake seems engaged and motivated for the first time. She is happy that he has finally found an outlet and friends and doesn’t want to believe it’s going to lead to anything bad. And when it does, she blames herself for failing to stop it.
