Storyline
In this dark comedy, an aging husband’s unsuccessful attempt on his wife’s life leads the couple on a touching journey to rediscover the essence of their relationship. Following a building evacuation, the wife seeks refuge with their estranged daughter who’s away on a trip. they bond with their lively grandson, Nathan, who unexpectedly becomes a mentor in their evolving relationship. The couple, unraveling their daughter's mysterious life, faces shocking revelations and the discovery of a dark secret involving their grandson.

He loves her mom and has a complicated relationship with his dad. He is a talented singer as well and is active on TikTok. As a second-generation immigrant, he’s not in touch with his grandparents sets of values and culture. Their stay at their daughter’s house gives Nathan the chance to find a way to relate to his grandparents’ identity. He’s able to see them for who they are and is forgiving of their mistakes as grandparents and as individuals. | ||

She’s free-spirited and a fighter. She was born in Iran but moved to Canada with her parents when she was very young. Ever since, she has conflicted with her parents and what they represent to her; the traditions. She gave birth to a child out of wedlock, then after a few years broke up with her boyfriend and fell in love with an older woman who was the same age as her mom.She’s a rebel and is proud of being who she is. Her set of values is different from those of her parents and that’s the reason she has lost touch with them over the past few years. What her parents don’t know about her is that in her own way, she is actually a good mom to Nathan. However, her childhood wound and the fact that she felt she was never worthy of love still governs her nature. | ||
