We can accept union and non-union actors through our student agreement with ACTRA. This
is a non-paying student film and no permit is required. Actors will receive a copy of the
finished film for their demo reel.
A standard meal will be provided on set. Hotel accommodation in the Niagara Region will be provided for actors if needed. Transportation to and from the Niagara Region can be provided to actors if needed.

Storyline
Jamie is struggling with severe insomnia and constant nightmares. When his Psychiatrist offers to prescribe him a new medication, despite the risk of side effects, he jumps on the opportunity. But, as he starts this new treatment, he begins to feel in control of his dreams, guided by his subconscious in the human form he finds there. As Jamie becomes more and more dependent on his medication, his dreams bring him face to face with the tragic accident that resulted in the death of his mother. As the side effects begin to to take over his mind, will he have the strength to face his past or will his lingering fears force him to forget?

Reluctant to face the real reason for his insomnia, he begins to take a new sleep medication, with the rare side effect that makes him feel he might have control of his dreams. As he begins to secretly abuse the new drug, his dreams are increasingly guided by Devon, a representation of his subconscious mind, who’s intent on repressing memories from Jamie’s past, and the truth of what happened to his mother. As the side effects of the medication worsen, the line between Jamie’s reality and dreams begins to blur, forcing him to confront the tragic truth that he had a hand in the greatest loss of his life. | ||

Despite the hectic challenges of raising a child on her own, Jamie’s Mother always took time to cherish the beautiful moments she shared with him as he grew up. As Jamie’s dreams drop him into key memories from his past, she appears as the mom she was to him at the time: first as a young boy, then a pre-teen, and finally the tragic moment of his adolescence that led to her untimely death. As Jamie comes face to face with his deepest regret, will she be able to convince him not only to forgive himself, but that he still has everything to live for? | ||

Description A determined yet empathetic psychiatrist, Doctor Sinclair has been trying to find the right treatment for Jamie, without any success. In an effort to break through, she prescribes a new medication, believing Jamie will report any unusual side effects that would make her change course. When Jamie insists the medication is improving his condition, she continues the treatment, unknowingly enabling what is turning into an addiction. Limited by her clinical role, and not realizing that Jamie has been lying about his dreams, she trusts the medication is showing progress. Will she uncover Jamie’s deception in time to help him, or will she unwittingly allow him to face his past all on his own? |
