We can accept union and non-union actors through our student agreement with ACTRA. This is a non-paying student film and no permit is required. Actors will receive a copy of the finished film for their demo reel.
The film will be shot on location near Durham, ON. It will be a five day shoot. Accommodations nearby will be provided if the actor is not locally based. There will be a dog staying in the house, which will be the dog used in the film. Half of the scenes are exterior, half are interior. For the outdoor scenes, heating considerations have been made, and the base camp will not be far away.
• Meals and beverages will be provided on the shoot days.
• If transportation is required we can arrange for a ride for the actor during filming.

Storyline
The youngest boy of an Irish immigrant family living on a farm in 1980s rural Ontario initiates himself into hunting season with his binge-drinking father who can’t bring himself to put down their misbehaving farm dog.

The gun never goes off. Daniel is often around adult characters who are drinking alcohol (prop), many of whom are chronic drinkers. | ||
