Storyline

Episodes 1-4: People at a bank are faced with racism and hostility.

Description AMY JOHNSON: 30-44, CAUCASIAN. This role requires a general American accent. Quebec based talent only. Amy is a tightly-wound cash management officer at the bank. She prides herself on professionalism and has little patience for interruptions or what she perceives as incompetence. Beneath her polished exterior lies a deep-seated prejudice, particularly towards Jaden, whom she sees as a threat and an outsider. Her condescending remarks reflect her disdain for anyone she views as beneath her, and she frequently resorts to offensive stereotypes to belittle Jaden. Amy is driven by her own ambitions and frustrations, which fuel her harsh judgments. Her insistent need for control and her dismissive attitude create an air of hostility, making it difficult for her to empathize with others, especially those she considers different or inferior.

His calm demeanor in the face of aggression highlights his resilience, but he also reveals moments of vulnerability, especially in his interactions with his daughter. Jaden’s commitment to helping others motivates him to persist in the face of adversity, even when confronted with stereotypes that unfairly label him.

Description ALBERT aka ALBIE LANGSTON: 45- 65, CAUCASIAN. This role requires a general American accent. Quebec based talent only. Albert (Albie), the bank manager, is a down-to-earth, well-meaning figure who is out of the office during key moments of conflict between Amy and Karen vs Jaden and Makayla. Ironically, he too enters the bank, covered in dirt from the same charity mud-run that Jaden threw; they’re business associates but good acquaintances, too, and Albie has always jumped at any opportunity to support Jaden's philanthropic endeavours. Albie’s return uncovers the prejudice of his staff, leading him to take swift action and express heartfelt regret.

Description VALERIE: 18-29, CAUCASIAN. This role requires a general American accent. Quebec based talent only. All-American– blonde hair, blue eyes. Valerie’s a helpful bank teller. New to the job and eager to please, she’s a bubbly and approachable woman who clocks the interactions between Amy and Jaden, but remains silent, choosing to ignore the conflict instead of helping to diffuse it.

Description EDDIE: 18-29, CAUCASIAN. This role requires a general American accent. Quebec based talent only. Tall, strong and naturally attractive. Eddie’s the charmingly handsome account clerk, the All-American man. He knows his job inside and out, and is always ready to offer assistance. He’s not eager to please, persé, he just naturally seems to put a smile on all his clients faces.
