Storyline
Orbit is a tense, character-driven sci-fi thriller that follows Commander Edward Garrison and rookie astronaut Isaac Reed as a routine docking mission turns into a desperate fight for survival. After an explosion severs their capsule from its space station, they are left adrift in orbit, spinning out of control with failing systems and dwindling oxygen. Edward’s battle-hardened resolve clashes with Isaac’s fear and inexperience, as they race to stabilize the ship before it’s too late. Both men must confront not only the brutal realities of space but also their inner struggles with fear and control. With their lives hanging in the balance, survival means pushing beyond the limits of endurance both physical and emotional. In the silent void of space, each decision could be their last. Orbit is a gripping exploration of human fragility, capturing the beauty of letting go of what cannot be controlled.
Roles
Role typeRoleGender & Age range
LeadEdward GarrisonMale 45 - 60 Years old
Description
Edward is a veteran astronaut, calm and collected on the surface, but harboring a deep emotional trauma from a near-drowning incident during a spacewalk years ago. He is intensely controlled, obsessive about every detail, and driven by his desire to maintain power over any situation. Haunted by his past and living in the shadow of his father’s legacy, Edward is stoic, driven, and emotionally shut off from others, which leads him to conflict with Isaac. Over the course of the mission, Edward’s facade begins to crack, as he is forced to confront his trauma and face the fact that he might not return from space. His final moments reflect an emotional release, a man finally free from a lifetime of repression.
Role typeRoleGender & Age range
LeadIsaac ReedMale 20 - 30 Years old
Description
Isaac is the younger, more optimistic astronaut on the mission. Balancing a mix of intelligence and youthful energy. A highly capable pilot, Isaac brings a sense of hope to the otherwise dire situation. However, his light-hearted nature masks something more: his desire to return home, and the emotional weight he carries from losing his brother and mother at a young age. Isaac uses emotional distance as a form of self-preservation, with space—so distant from Earth—becoming his ultimate escape from the traumas he faces down below. As the oxygen levels drop, Isaac’s resolve is tested, revealing his deep emotional need to be buried back on Earth beside his family. Despite the odds, Isaac refuses to give up on the idea of returning home.
