Storyline
GRINGO CHAMPION (CAMPEON GABACHO) is not your ordinary fighter story. Brimming with humor and spirit, it tells the adventure of LIBORIO, an endearing and mischievous teenager, a Mexican migrant and perpetual survivor who crosses the Rio Grande in search of a better life in the United States. It is through his fists, his wit, love, and the family of strangers he builds along the way, that he becomes a hero in a foreign land.

Description Mexican, early 20s, man. A wiry, street-smart kid, toughened by life’s many blows. He is resilient and has learned to fight his way through life. He came to the US running away from his past, but bad luck and misery seem to follow him everywhere. Irreverent and humorous, his vibrant language masks a sensitive, romantic disposition. At times, he might seem apathetic. After all, he's had to struggle to survive for as long as he can remember. But underneath his cool exterior is a dreamer and a fighter. He is a boxer with the soul of a poet, which shows in his interactions with Aireen whom he is madly in love with. This role requires fluent native Mexican Spanish, and accented English...LEAD. | ||
