SLATE NOTES: This role is open to Toronto Area residents ONLY. Must be local, tax paying residents in GTA. One take only please send us your best one. Please include full name, height, which role you are applying for and Agency, if you have one. You will be working with Lucy Belgum, a comedy-based transgender director who works in the Toronto community. She has a long history of improvisation-heavy comedy and mockumentary work and a healthy appetite for the occult. Expect a fun, friendly, and welcoming set experience.

Storyline

Little Terror is a hilarious horror mockumentary that documents a family of 5 that seems relatively normal from the outside, but reveals that one of the children is permanently possessed. This project sits in the likes of “What We Do in the Shadows” and “Parks and Recreation.” It’s a playful, lighthearted, and absurdist twist to conventional horrors with the added realism and at times dry humor of mockumentaries.

Description 9-11 yrs in appearance. (SHE/HER - Open Ethnicity) . 9-11 yrs in appearance. Cassandra is your everyday normal tween girl minus her clearly demonic appearance. She’s pale, has scraggly hair, and is often a hot demon mess with tattered clothes and yellow teeth. Often flipping from a regular child to a mischievous demonic goblin running up the wall and onto the ceiling or telling people how they are going to die. She loves her family, listens well to her father, and tries to show it in ways that make sense to her, often putting her at odds with others. She struggles to connect and make friends due to her demonic mind and she both loves and hates this. She is authentically and unapologetically herself. With the addition of the camera crew, it will be hard for her to turn down the demonic theatrics. Good for ratings! Bad for her family! Think Reagan from the Exorcist meets a young girl from Gravity Falls or the Owl House. Audition: Self tape includes a brief introduction of yourself to the camera by answering the questions provided while in character and performing the selected sides. Directed callbacks to follow for selected applications. - What’s your favorite trick you like to pull on your family? - What demon qualities do you love about yourself? - Are there any reasons you’d like to be more normal and less demonic? Directors Note: We are looking for someone who has a distinct idea of what Cassandra is like, and what demon Cassandra is like. She is not demonic all the time and only drops into her demon voice and mannerisms when she is doing something demonic. Being able to move from one persona to another is something we are keeping our eyes out for.

Description Late 30s-Mid 40s in appearance. (HE/HIM - Open Ethnicity) Mark is the father of the household. He’s like a religious Paul Rudd type of guy who’s loyal, endearing, unassuming, and tries his best to approach life with optimism despite the challenges thrown against him on a daily basis. Unbeknownst to him he’s a hero to his family putting everyone else before him, but at the end of the day he’s tired and his tank is empty and it shows in his weathering face and subtle body language. Description Late 30s-Early 40s in appearance. (SHE/HER - Métis Sarah is the matriarch of the household, a mom next door type with a career. She’s Métis and like her husband, Mark, is a devout Christian. She carries a great sense of humour and is well versed with sarcasm. Albeit a kind and loving mother and wife she exudes a slight undertone of being on the verge of a nervous breakdown. Much like a funny and frazzled Tina Fey, her cortisol is fried causing her to operate in a constant state of high alert waiting for the next disaster to strike. Description 15-17 yrs in appearance. (HE/HIM - Open Ethnicity) Oscar is your typical 15-year-old boy. He’s fashionably messy, looking like he’s not 100% put together. He’s outgoing, confident, and a social media fiend. He enjoys typical teenage activities like skateboarding, getting his driver’s license, video games, and putting his sister’s antics online. He’s a loving and protective older brother who delivers some great ribbing to everyone in the family. Audition: Self tape includes introducing yourself to camera by answering the 3 questions below in character as if you are being interviewed by a TLC reality show about your unique family. Make the character and your answers your own by injecting your individual brand of comedy into the questions. This is an area to showcase your personality and improv skills by making up fun stuff about your younger demon sister. Directed callbacks to follow for selected applications. - Tell me a little bit about what it's like living with a demon for a sister, both good and bad. - What's your favourite memory with your sister? Can you tell us about it? - You and your younger brother use social media a lot to broadcast your lives, what made you want to do that?

Description 11-13 yrs in appearance. (HE/HIM - Open Ethnicity) 13-year-old Sam is the middle child in the household. He’s an intelligent bookish type, very woke, and aware of his position in the family as the middle child which is often overshadowed by his older brother and younger sister. He likes literature, playing music, history, drama, and philosophy over sports. Audition: Self tape includes performing a mock interview answering the 3 questions below in character as if you are being interviewed by a TLC reality show about your unique family or a news story. Make the character and your answers your own by injecting your individual brand of comedy into the questions. This is an area to showcase your personality and improv skills by making up fun stuff about your younger demon sister. Description 60s in appearance. Mrs Ludkey is an uptight and nosey next door neighbour. She’s less than thrilled living next door to a demon and is convinced that her neighbours are wreaking havoc on her life. She carries an air of authority and arrogance, believing children should be well behaved under the control of their parents. Audition: Perform an interview and answer the 3 questions below in character. As if you are being interviewed by a TLC reality show about a unique family or a news story. Make the character your own and inject your individual brand of comedy into the questions. This is an area to showcase your personality. Directed callbacks to follow for selected applications. ? Tell us what it’s like living next door to a demon. ? You believe that the demon daughter is forcing your husband to look at crude websites. What behaviors has your husband been demonstrating to make you think that? (can take the humour as far as you like) ? How do you think the demon child made this activity occur? Can you walk us through your accusation?

Non Speaking	Mr. Ludkey	Male
Description 60s in appearance. (HE/HIM - Open Ethnicity) Mr Ludkey is married to Mrs Ludkey and has the opposite demeanor. He’s quiet, private, and keeps to himself. Having been married for so long he knows its best to keep his mouth shut with her. He has, however, developed an appetite for adult websites since the family moved in next door. This is most likely due to Cassandra’s demonic energy which has closed him off literally and emotionally even more from his wife. Audition: This character has no dialogue but is featured as a physical comedic element in the background of another scene. Please prepare a self tape as if you’re logging into a website, browsing around for few beats, and then notice a camera has spotted you through a window. You can close your laptop and leave the room or get up and pretend to close the blinds. Please don’t make this exaggerated or campy. Keep it natural. You can be annoyed, embarrassed, etc, but keep it real.
