Comments
The humour that exists in this project comes through timing and subtlety. This is an eerie, thought-provoking, "Black Mirror"esque story about the dangers of AI in the storytelling industry. The apathy and deadpan delivery from Scott, Mr.1 & Mrs.2 should play as a juxtaposition to the filmmakers irate and confused state. Send a few takes if you'd like.
Storyline
A filmmaker goes to confront the studio that made his film with AI, but nothing could prepare him for the product that the algorithm came up with.
Roles
Role typeRoleGender & Age range
SupportingScott Male 30 - 50 Years old
Description
Though he seems like a generic heartless studio executive, Scott has had his emotions drained by this AI film that he just watched. Deep down, he is still a human, perhaps fighting through the mask of emptiness that the film has put on him.
References would be Agent Smith meets Lakeith Stanfield's character in Get Out.
Role typeRoleGender & Age range
SupportingMr. 1Male 25 - 50 Years old
Description
A mix between mentally emotionally checked out and financially focused. Mr.1 has also had his emotions destroyed by the AI film, but he is willing to let the effects of the film take over, since he knows that this technology just made his job that much easier. Strong comedic timing is a MUST. He interrupts, buds in to conversations, but doesn't trample over what others are saying. Soft spoken but eerie.
Role typeRoleGender & Age range
SupportingMrs. 2Male 25 - 50 Years old
Description
Business driven, sharp, a classic fake smiler, only these traits are amplified by her lack of earnest emotion due to the film she just watched. Like Scott, there is still a person behind the mask of emptiness, but the influence of the AI film is too powerful to let that person through. Strong comedic timing is a MUST. Reference would be Georgina from "Get Out".
